Our Philosophy

Nature didn't draw straight lines — machines did.

For most of history, wood for walls and ceilings was forced into rectangles. Beams were squared. Boards were ripped to identical widths. The natural sweep of every tree — the gentle waver that gave each one its character — was sanded out by industry.

At ScandiWood, we scan each Nordic log digitally, then let an algorithm honour its true shape. The result is wall and ceiling cladding that follows the grain of growth itself — quiet, organic, and unrepeatable.

Collections

Six surfaces,
one philosophy.

From sweeping curved wall panels that mimic the river's edge to acoustic ceiling slats tuned for quiet — every ScandiWood collection begins with the tree itself.

Our Process

From log to
living wall.

Every ScandiWood surface is the product of four deliberate stages. We move slowly, with respect for the material and the room it will inhabit.

Sourcing

Each log is selected from FSC-certified Baltic and Nordic forests, with full chain-of-custody documentation from forest to factory floor.

Digital Scanning

Every plank is digitally scanned. Our algorithm maps each piece's true contour, finding patterns invisible to the eye.

Craft Production

Hand-finishing by master carpenters. Test-assembled on our floor before shipping — no surprises on site.

Delivery & Install

Numbered crates arrive with an installation map specific to your space. Our partners install across the Nordics.

Sustainability

The forest is
our balance sheet.

Our curved-board technology was born from a simple frustration: traditional wood manufacturing wastes nearly half of every tree. By following each log's natural shape, we use up to 95% of every cubic metre — drastically reducing the volume of forest we touch.

ScandiWood didn't just supply our atrium — they gave it a second heartbeat. Visitors stop in the doorway. They notice the room before they notice anything else inside it.
